When jewellery becomes useful...

When jewellery becomes useful...

The latest collection of antique treasures from the Lannah Dunn Fine Jewellery international sojourn included a flutter of colourful enamel butterfly brooch pins. Of European descent, these treasures have become quite the rage in store and through instagram, but one particular customer's story peaked our interest!

Great-grandmother to identical twin girls was on a mission. She first phoned the Toowoomba store to ask after something to distinguish one of her great-grand baby girls, one from another. With the special collection only just having flown in, the butterflies were at the forefront of our minds and without hesitation suggested the idea. Great-grandma couldn't have been more delighted! Not only would the baby girls' own parents appreciate the identity jewels, but she had a history with a near identical butterfly pin. Note, identification jewellery need not be merely practical, it too can be beautiful!

Great-grandma indeed had one of her own grandmother's emerald-green enamel butterfly brooches from the mid century and was tickled pink to find that we had a selection of original vintage in pristine condition available for purchase!

If the words don't speak for themselves please enjoy this divine image of the baby girls and their new 'identity' tags.
