Antique Goddess of Harvest Beauty

Antique Goddess of Harvest Beauty

New release antique treasures for Christmas 2025

An exceptional antique intaglio ring depicting Demeter, Goddess of the Harvest — an enduring symbol of abundance, renewal, and the eternal rhythm of the seasons.

The finely carved figure, is executed in a luminous, translucent amber-hued stone. Engraved in reverse relief, the classical profile of Demeter is rendered with remarkable delicacy and poise, reflecting the refined hand of a skilled engraver and the enduring influence of ancient artistry.

The intaglio is set within a substantial yet elegantly sculpted solid gold mount. Its warm golden tones harmonise beautifully with the richness of the carnelian, creating a setting that is both powerful and refined, designed to frame the carving while remaining eminently wearable.

Historically, intaglio jewels were worn as talismanic objects — emblems of intellect, culture, and cultivated taste. As guardian of grain and fertility, Demeter represents nourishment, legacy, and continuity.

A rare and exceptional historic jewel, this antique beauty of a ring dates to circa 1900, possibly earlier, and is of English origin.

New release — Christmas 2025.
