A ROYAL OCCASION as seen in STYLE Magazine

How the Royal Wedding has inspired a trusted Brisbane Jeweller.

To celebrate the royal wedding, Lannah Dunn Fine Jewellery is having a royal month of celebrations setting our hearts a flutter.

For the month of May, the City store, housed in the historic Tattersall’s Arcade, will showcase rare and exquisite antiques, along with a myriad of other special pieces. Lannah Dunn Fine Jewellery has offered sublime quality antique and vintage jewellery for over 34 years.

Featuring jewels for all occasions, including magnificent vintage rings set with old cut diamonds featuring throughout the English Royal Family’s collection and passed through generations in their existing state. Or meticulously extracted from family tiaras to transform into a newly created heirloom, a service also offered  to clients by the experts at LD.

Among the rarities in store are Diamond Deco platinum (known as the metal of kings) Rings, diamond eternity rings, bespoke wedding rings in platinum, and rose, yellow and white gold, Australian south sea pearls for the bride and mother of the bride and monograms and cufflinks for the greater bridal party gifts.

Globally the wedding has cast light on the importance of jewels as a token of affection connecting us with both the past and the future. As a family business, the Lannah Dunn team are excited to celebrate all things British, royal, and family.

TOOWOOMBA jeweller Lannah Dunn and Blush Cancer Care founder Dr Sharyn Donaldson have celebrated five years of their charitable partnership.

For Mrs Dunn, it's a cause close to her heart.

"The diagnosis of breast cancer has impacted so many of our loved ones and their families, with one in eight Australian women being diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime," Mrs Dunn said.

"Being able to partner with Blush Cancer Care Inc allows us to support women in our local community on their journey to wellness."

Mrs Dunn handed over a $2460 donation yesterday, the proceeds from last year's in-store event.

Blush Cancer Care is a not-for-profit organisation that seeks to improve the lives of women on the Darling Downs with breast cancer.

Every year various Blush Cancer Care and Lannah Dunn Fine Jewellery events are held to raise money to support the organisation's work.

The Blush High Tea and Sparkling Pink Affair were the latest events supported by over 300 guests - with plans for 2019 events already underway.

"We have a longstanding ethos to support as many local charities as possible, and a long history of supporting breast cancer initiatives," Mrs Dunn said.

Dr Donaldson said the money raised would be used to "enhance the care of breast cancer patients in Toowoomba and Darling Downs".

"Whilst it is necessary to devote funding for ongoing research, it's also important to support those who are in the midst of this illness," she said.

Planning for 2019 events are well underway. To stay up to date with the upcoming events, follow Blush Cancer Care and Lannah Dunn Fine Jewellery on Facebook and Instagram.

Cate in Ocean's 8

Yearning for some wise words from the LD girls, well here they are... Layers are on trend in a big way and we are loving it. Don't believe us, just ask Cate Blanchett or Sandra Bullock as they prance around New York City at venues like the met, or their giant loft apartments, seducing Cartier Diamonds from Anne Hathaway whilst draped in amazing Vintage Muff Chains and Albert fob necklaces. Trust us, for those who have not been to see the latest Oceans 8 film in cinemas now, you must. It takes you into a powerful, fabulously fashionable world away from reality. These femininely cool, well-dressed, undefeated women are set to make you feel empowered and leave envying their impeccable style. It is simply refreshing to see scene after scene, the women layered in all their vintage beauties. For us here @lannahdunn the jewels on these girls was chic and fantastic, it's a real 'feel good' film
